Back to the Beginning

After creating the world, and handing over control to mankind, God told us to multiply and fill the earth. The intent was for us to dominate the earth and bring it under our control; an authority we posses based upon our position within the God-head.

God by the power of his spoken word created the world in which we now live, and placing such authority in our hands, it was now up to us to care for and rule over the earth. The earth was at rest during these few years after creation, what we see with our eyes today in the heavens is a testimony of the work of God; we are told the heavens declares the glory of God revealing his knowledge day after day, a gift that we might know God is with us at all times.

What we see on earth and in the heavens is for our benefit, one for us to discover the awesome glory and power of God. Secondly it is for us to understand the power of his right hand to perform what he will on earth. Created in his image we were to have brought forth children, and bringing forth children they were in rule over the earth as princes and princesses in the name of the Lord.

However, after some time, this life in paradise would change, a law was given for us not to provoke the instruction of God, and in due time an enemy would seek for himself an opportunity to tempt us into turning away from God. What we did not know; however, was his intent in having us leave the path of truth, but later after making the choice to disobey God we fell into the enemy’s trap.

In that moment we lost our place as sons of God, we became slaves to an enemy whose intent was to destroy the name and reputation of God, and to do that he needed to bring us to that place where we as his children would doubt his word, and agreeing to doubt our Father’s word we fell into the enemy’s trap becoming salves to sin.

The net result of our disobedience, and turning away from trusting our Father was the penalty of death. We were warned not to break the instruction of our Father, and because we did, death became the lot we earned for what we have done. Through our disobedience we brought shame on the name of our Father, and in our sentence we wound him greatly, today our world is filled with pain, not because God indented it to be so, but because of our action in the distant past. Genesis 1:26-27 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.”
