Isaiah 43:11 (KJV) I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no savior.
The controversy surrounding the nature of Jesus is a hard one to accept, but once we are able to grasp the truth of his nature nothing will be impossible for us to accomplish. Once we come to understand the truth about Jesus our savior, his words will take root in our hearts causing us to declare his message without fear. Once we come to understand the person of Jesus Christ, we will begin to understand who we really are, as it is the desire of God for us to enter into this relationship with him; having the benefits of the kingdom as we declare the glory of God our Father.
I understand that the issue surrounding the interpretation of the statement, ” Father, Son, and Holy Ghost” is a hard one to explain for many of us as we go back and forth on the subject of who Jesus is. Some among us are saying that there are three individuals ruling heaven based on the statement mentioned, “Father, Son, and Holy Ghost” But how can there be three different individuals ruling heaven when the scripture clearly told us that there is only one God. As we can see in Isaiah 43:11 there is only one God, “I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no savior.” And if God is saying to us in his word “Besides be there is no other” How can we then say there are three separate individuals ruling God’s kingdom. If we were to take that stand, saying there are three ruling gods in heaven, we would be as the nations around us who are bowing down not just to one god, but many different god’s. According to the law of God, there is only but one God, and we are commanded to serve only him for he is a [“Jealous”] God.
So how do we explain the three in one statement that is presented before us? First let us understand that the word of God is a mystery to those who do not believe. In the book of Timothy 3:16 we have the statement “Great is the mystery of godliness” Which then later went on to make the statement that “God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.” Before explaining what he was about to reveal to his generation, Timothy open with the statement, “And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness” As if to point out a reality that is hard to understand.
According to Timothy, it seems we weren’t the only one struggling with the question over who Jesus was, but from what I have observed those accepting the divine nature of Jesus were the ones performing the works of God. It is without controversy according to scripture Jesus was God in the flesh. Both John, Matthew, and Timothy are in agreement when we examine their writings, and from their view Jesus was God on earth. Was Jesus a mere man, I disagree, because from what I have come to understand about the statement “Three in one” has clearly revealed to us that there is only one God in heaven who is reigning over all, and his name is Jesus.
Before Jesus was taken out the sight of his disciples, Phillip one of his disciples ask him a question, “Lord, show us the Father, and it will be enough” John 14:8. In reply Jesus said unto him, “Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how say thou then, show us the Father?” John 14:9. When you read this statement and reply of Jesus you can’t but understand what he was saying to Phillip. In our modern age his reply would have sounded something like this. ” Phillip”, ” Have I been with you all this time and you still don’t know me, If you see me you see the Father because I am the Father, so how can you say show me the Father.”
That was enough, Jesus was the Father as Isaiah had explained “Beside me there is no savior.” Which fits rightly with the name Jesus which also means savior. The Bible told us there is no other name under heaven by which man can be saved, but the name of Jesus , and if we are willing to accept these teachings of the New Covenant, let it be known we are either choosing to deny God the Creator in acceptance of Jesus Christ, or Accept the God of creation who came down to save us all by his own blood. Acts 4:12.
There is no doubt according to scripture Jesus is our God, our savior, and the redeemer of our souls, and those calling on his name shall be saved from the power of sin unto eternal life according to his promise. Jesus is both the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, and the statement three in one is a statement pointing back at Jesus which is an explanation of his divine nature and ability to work in all three nature of the God head. Jesus is the only one sitting on the throne of heaven having power in all three areas of the God head, He is three in one. In other words, he is one man possessing all the attributes mentioned concerning the God head.
1 John 5:7-8 (KJV) For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three [are one]. And there are three that bear witness in earth, the spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree [in one]. (Again these three make one whole).
