Born of God

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. (John 1:12-13 KJV)

While were yet sinners, before Christ came we were under bondage bound by the spirit of sin who was our master, and as a result of being under the power of sin; we once lived our lives in rebellion against God and what he stood for. If what we do had anything to do with God, we would turn our backs against it because the spirit of sin who was our slave master was controlling every aspect of our lives.

While in sin, we had no right to life, to freedom or even to experience peace, the penalty was death and the devil was happy to carry out that sentence. Knowing the word of God the devil use the law to destroy us, we had sinned and the penalty was death according to the word of God to Adam, and it was on account of what we had done these penalties came upon us.

When Adam turned his back against God, we had lose our freedom, and our right to life was taken away, and immediately we were placed under the authority of death. Death being our master provoked us on every side, in our sleep he creeks upon us threatening to take us away in the night. We live in fear all our lives while we were under the power of sin, but when Jesus came in the form of man to take upon himself the sins of the world, he restored us unto himself.

Our right to live came from Jesus Christ, we were born again into the life of God having full right as sons to every promise God has made to us throughout history. Now that Jesus has purchased our lives from the grave and bestowed on us life eternal, we no longer live according to the rules of the flesh, or the blood that flows through our veins, but rather we live by the spirit of God through whom we have gained our freedom.

While we were under the power of sin, we depended on the life blood of our bodies, the rules of men, and the desires of the flesh, but when Christ came he gave us a new mind and spirit by which we should live that we no longer need the blood for life, the flesh to fuel our desires, nor man, but the spirit of Jesus for all we need.

As born again children of God, we are no longer under the power of death, and sin. We are no longer people without rights, but rather we have now become the sons of God, a people of power having full right to the kingdom of God and eternal life. This we have gained through the blood of Jesus whose body was prepared for us as a living sacrifice for the atonement of sin. We are born again, born into a life of hope, peace, and power on account of Jesus, empowered by the holy Ghost. We are no longer under the power of the flesh, human nature or counsel, nor blood. Rather we are under the counsel of God’s spirit through whom we have access to all things..  Visit us at The Center and read more great post.
