Genesis 26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 27 So God created man in his [own] image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. 28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. 29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which [is] upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which [is] the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. 30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein [there is] life, [I have given] every green herb for meat: and it was so. 31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, [it was] very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

The Love of God was demonstrated through the Son of Man Jesus Christ who was in every way God. He was from the beginning and due to the transgression of humanity made it a point to keep His word by himself becoming human that he might uphold His plan for creation. God’s plan from the beginning was for man to have dominion over the earth. The earth was man’s domain a gift God gave humanity, but when humanity through Adam chose to walk away and turn against God death was revealed to the human race erasing the possibility for man to remain the dominant creature of the earth. Overtime if God had not sent his son Jesus to redeem humanity, the human race would one day fail to exist, but through the divine nature of Jesus and the act of resurrection God restore his plan keeping his word, ” Let them have dominion over the earth”.

Those of us today who will come to the fruit of this understanding accepting the only man who is able to preserve our lives on earth will one day be raised from the dead to inherit the earth as God had intended from the beginning.  This is the message of the gospel, but only those who respond with faith in Jesus the King will have access to this kingdom to come. God’s plan was for man to inhabit the world each and everyone of us, but on account of sin we fall short dying in the end. To be restored we need a king who has the power to restore us and that king is Jesus.
