The birth of Jesus is of divine origin. Born of God, and not having a human father making His claim as the son of God true. He was made human through His birth having descended from Mary, the daughter of David the King. Joseph was his father,al though he had no sexual relation with Mary. Joseph was the son of David, hire to the throne, giving Jesus the right to claim the throne of Jerusalem.
Joseph had it in mind to put away his wife in secret; knowing to expose her was to subject her to stoning, the law of the time. The angel announcing the birth of the Messiah they have been waiting on, or the birth of the redeeming king. Joseph chose to obey God, and so the story of our savior entering the world begins. It was the fulfilled promise made to Adam and Eve in the Garden before they were sent away to face the hardship of sin.
According to history Jesus is the king, wiht a historical back ground to prove it. The kings from which he descend are often overlooked by many reading the text of Matthew. People would often asked, “is it important for us to read the names fond in the Bible?” My answer would be yes, although at times, I also thought it necessary to skip. But if we are to ever prove the legitimacy of Christ, we need to understand His history and ancestry.
