The lost and the dead

Romans 8:5-7  For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

Note:

Before we came to Christ, we once lived our lives in full support of the flesh. The things we fight against in the world were once things we supported, but once we came to Christ we received a new heart, and now we no longer desire to fulfill the pleasure of the flesh. Those; however, who have rejected the message of salvation have no problem living for and supporting those things which are contrary to the law of God; they are dead serving sin unto damnation.

As a result the change in us,  many of us have lost friends we once walked with. They often ask us what is wrong with us; they can see the change, but have to clue how this came about. It is evident we are no longer servants  of the world serving the flesh, but are now Christ’s serving and living by the Spirit. Those who are carnal minded will never understand the will of God, because they are spiritual things to be understood by the mind of the spirit. And because the will and ways of God are spiritually discerned we are persecuted by those who are without the mind of God.

Ro 8:7 Because the carnal
mind is enmity
against God: for it is not subject to
the law of God, neither indeed can be.
