Atheists lost the debate to a Christian

Every time I listen to the debate between a Christian and an atheist, on the view point of the Christian it always seem as if he or she is loosing the battle, and the atheist is just having plain old fun.

One of the problems I found among Christians debating  atheist is that they are not really listening to what the atheist is saying. Often times I find that the atheists is right, and if we only agree, we would present a stronger case for Christ.

As Christians we never stop to realize that the message we are delivering to an atheist is the same message he or she is repeating back to us. For example, an atheist do not believe in God, and while he does not believe there is a God, he admits there is no hope for him or her after they die. On the part of the atheists, after they die that is the end of life.

I must say he is right, for if he does not believe there is a God, then there is no hope at all for the atheists, and secondly after he dies that is the end of life for him. This is true, because it is based upon his position in this life, and his stand against God.

What do we preach as Christians, “ Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit”. John 3:5-6.

Except the atheist repent of his position and turn to God, he will die in his sins, at which point his life will end in the pits of hell. He cannot understand the things of God because they are spiritual and need spiritual discernment, and man as Jesus puts it clear, is a biological creation in which he preserves life until he calls it home.

Man as the atheist puts it has no life in himself, when he dies he has no hope without God. The spirit leaves the body, the biological temple in which it once dwells, but before the spirit of man knowingly rejects God and the knowledge presented to him by God, he is locked out of the kingdom of God; therefore, doomed to the pits.

For the theist there is hope, meaning one who believes in the son of God Jesus Christ, for him death is not the final run. For him it is the beginning of eternity in what was intended for humanity. As he live, he live as the atheist lives. He rise up in the morning and goes off to work, and returns home to be with his family once more. There is no difference between the two, but for one little yet great factor, the theists believed in God and the atheist does not.

What the atheist has is a front, he knows there is a God, but chooses not to give honor to God. He is no different from the Christian, who goes about spreading the gospel of Christ as instructed, only that his quest to spread his message of unbelief is a quest of madness, because he gets up to challenge something he claims does not exist.

If there was no God, why would he work so hard against soothing or someone that does not exist, it seems to me there is a God whose presence is a provoking one to him because of the love God desire to declare with the atheist, a message of hope and repentance.

The fear of the atheist is to admit his wrong, and having all the evidence he needs to know there is a God he suppresses the truth his anchor of escape from the power of darkness. So the next time you come across an atheists and he says to you, after he dies there is no hope, that it the end of life, remember he is not speaking for you, only for himself and those in his camp.

Remember he is right, because of his rejection of Christ Jesus, the son of God he is without hope. Hell is the end of life, it is as he says a place of absolute wastefulness, a great void, nothing, a place of torment, and the end, hell for an eternity.

Where there is life there is substance, peace, breathe, and glory, but where live does not exists is wastefulness, darkness, and a burning heat, the place the departed souls of the sinner will spend its eternity. Agree with the atheists, but let them know you have come in the name of Jesus to offer hope, and if they refuse, keep in mind what Jesus told us. “Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.” Matthew 15:14}

Atheist march in Krakow, 10.10.09Romans 1:18-24 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.

For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and four-footed beasts, and creeping things. Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

  1. sorry i dont know god nor has he shown me his power and i am not supressing anything..god might not exist but religons do..religons who shove creationism in schools

    • Romans 1:19-20 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

You do know that God exists. we are all without excuse?

  2. 1. What is the technical process by which spiritual discernment is enacted? Is it repeatable, and will it produce the same/similar results if followed?

    2. You confuse an atheist’s position on death being the end of life, with a metaphor of eternal punishment in hell being the “end of life.” When an atheist says end, they mean end. You mean eternity, living in punishment.

    3. The reason an atheist may fight against the notion of god existing is because god’s existence is part of the zeitgeist of our age. It is a social norm to believe a god exists, and this is why it is fought. Not because of some underlying, unconscious feeling that god may actually exist.

    • The ancient thought of the word end means void, or destruction, but never really an end. There is no such thing a an end where things simply cease to exist.

When we today speak of an end, we have no idea what we really mean, but in the English mind set, the true meaning of the word was lost. Thing of creation, or what you may call the big bang, there is no end to the process of creation as the universe keeps on creating new objects, stars, and planets.

If there was an end it would be a static universe which was proven wrong. Again no one knows what was before creation, or big bang, yet the creation of the universe came from something.

What was before creation exists before creation, an eternal substance from which the universe came from. I know there is a God, I know the earth exist, that is the faith I have. And faith often miss understood as believing in something hoping for it to come to pass is not faith at all. Faith in true meaning is to know, therefore we confidently act and speak concerning what we believe.

The end is not an end as we know it, but the void of life. For us to live on earth and survive there must first be life, otherwise we could not have lived here. For Example: There is no life on Mars; therefore we are unable to live there, unless the conditions for life are put in place, which is life.

Life must exist for life to thrive anywhere; therefore, Hell is a place of darkness, heat, and eternal destruction where it is impossible for life to thrive; therefore, God has reserved it for the spirit that departs a man after he dies.

God will provide for him a state for him to live in such conditions, but only to be alive, but in a place void life. That is the power of God to sustain and punish. Hell was made for Satan.

      • End of human consciousness. End of individual thought. End of the singular brain/mind. Not the end of matter, or the material. We all know bodies rot. What we don’t know is that there is some spiritual existence that goes beyond body rot.

Faith in true meaning, is not to know. If it was knowledge, it could be shown as true, and we could test for that truth. Right now, you have assertion of truth/knowledge. Big difference.

You should also attempt to show proof for the truth of the existence of a soul. You can’t just assert it as true.

You are also interchanging your concepts of life, from that eternal and that physical. You shouldn’t do that.

        • You said it yourself, body does rot, you know this, but in your being you exist in a temple design for your life dwelling within. It was design with the function need to interact with this world, so that you the operator may use its function. Look, every day we grow older, meaning the body begins to lose its strength, but you the person has not change, we always seem to feel as if we will live on, yet knowledge told us we will grow old. does that not say something about the indwelling soul.

          • I, the person, have changed immensely. I do not think as I did as a child. I do not remember in the same ways that I did when I was younger. I imagine I’ll start losing my keys more, as I get even older.

A feeling that I am somehow immortal can just as easily be a delusion, or a trick of the mind, as it could actually be a truth. More easily, in fact. I, for instance, have no inherent feeling that I am immortal. My father is gone, his father before him, and so on. So to, will I be gone soon.

So again, how do you establish your feelings as truth, as knowledge? So far, still just assertions.

          • Because the desire to live is the call of the soul to be redeemed from its fallen state. Sure as you get older you may feel a little out of touch with your self, but that is the inherit curse that came on us, which is why we ask the question, is there a God. That question, the what ifs, the just maybe, and so forth, are indications for us to search these things out.

Again Unless you accept Jesus the Christ there is no way for you to enter the kingdom nor can you understand the things of the spirit. Flesh respond to the things of the flesh, and the spirit to those things which are spiritual. I only ask that you truly search out the scriptures from a open minded point of view. That is the only way you will begin to understand or will be able to make a sound choice. If you have any doubt at all concerning life after death, it is your call to investigate.

Genesis3:19 From dust you are and to dust you shall return. The word to Adam, Adam meaning dust. Man is made from the dust of the earth, but the soul comes from God.

    • Think of it, gases or the wind can live in any condition, and adjust to such conditions, changing from heat to cold, from dangerous gases to quality air we can breathe. The soul of man is as such, the wind, which is what the interpretation of souls means, wind, therefore it never dies, but move into the extraterrestrial form of life.

      • I’m really asking for technical terms, definitions and processes. You give metaphor and interpretations. How do you equate this to knowledge, and how do you expect a skeptic to accept this as a true form of knowledge?

        • The process can only comes through Jesus, It cannot be explained through human terms, You will simply have to come to that understanding.

Before I gave my life to God, I ask the question ” what if< and then took time to investigate the Bible. what I found was Jesus Christ, he laterally came to me, and I became a believer.

I find we do give the Bible a true chance before we judge it, we simple say we have read it, but it is not true. We haven't looked at it with an open mind. If you should do that you will find Christ.

The born again process is a process that can come only through acceptance of Christ. It cannot be explained. that is why Jesus used the words he did .

Read the story, break it apart and understand what is being said here. it is like the wind, it comes and goes but not understood completely, but we know it is there.

John 3:1-12 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be? Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things? Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness. If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?

          • “The process can only comes through Jesus, It cannot be explained through human terms, You will simply have to come to that understanding.”

Nope, this is a failure with your worldview/belief set. You found your enlightenment through Jesus, through a technical process of discovery. Now, maybe because you accepted the end result on faith, you can’t adequately describe a repeatable process of discovery, but you had one. What was it? Only through testing this process, can we find whether or not your truth claims hold water. At the end of the day, if your very human, physical, real world discovery can’t be explained through human terms, you are bs’ing everyone.

        • See the vide on the right, that guys was an atheists he might have a better explanation. It is the video with the guy in the glasses.

          • Can you explain the big bang? and if not is that nonsense, as you would put it? No one has answered this question yet, theories keeps on changing no sound ground, but many believe it. If there was big ban what started that, and what was in place to trigger the big bang. Something has to be before the big bang to create the conditions for it, and if something was in place then where did it came from.

God said, He was before all things, and besides him there is no other God. I believe in the Creator, Jesus Christ.
