99% of in society today believe the days of the month is truly thirty and thirty one day cycles, but in all truth if anyone is to study the cycle of the moon they will immediately noticed there are only twenty eight. Over time the number of days were changed by the Romans, but was more influence by the Pharisees and the Sadducees in Jerusalem in the time of Jesus Christ.
For the Romans, the purpose was to stay in touch with the seasons and to celebrate the gods, but for the Pharisees and the Sadducees it was to cover up the truth concerning the Messiah. Many atheist claims they read and understand the Bible, and called it a bunch of garbage, but in all reality Jesus was right. “Except a man is born of water and of the Spirit he cannot see nor enter the kingdom of God”. Truth comes only from God the Creator of the universe, and hidden right in plain view is one of the signs of God’s return.
Why did the Pharisees and their rivals the Sadducees changed the dates of the calendar, was it simply because the death of Jesus was a clear sign he was indeed the Messiah. He died according to the cycle of the moon, the date of the preparation, and was taken off the cross at the instructed time as it was commanded in the Torah or Old Testament.
“And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening. 7 And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it. 8 And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it”. Exodus.}
Jesus did enter the city where he was arrested and brought to trial. It was on the fourteen day of the month, the month in which the Passover was celebrated. He was crucified in the evening and His body was taken down from the cross and placed in the grave before the sun had set.
Sunset is the mark of the new day according to ancient sources, it is true, and while we count a new day with the rising sun, by the time the sun rises we are already part way through the day. “And the evening and the morning was the first day, etc”.
“Do not leave any of it till morning; if some is left till morning, you must burn it. 11 This is how you are to eat it: with your cloak tucked into your belt, your sandals on your feet and your staff in your hand. Eat it in haste; it is the Lord’s Passover”.
Jesus was taken down from the cross as instructed. Not one of his bones was broken, and according to the prophecy, he fulfilled the description of the law. This was the reason the religious groups of the time changed the times and seasons of the calendar, and here we are with a 29, 30, and 31 day moon cycle according to our modern day calendar.
“It must be eaten inside one house; take none of the meat outside the house. Do not break any of the bones”. Exodus 12:46. None of his bones were broken, but the two thieves that were crucified with him. And he blood was offered in one house, the house of Israel.
So when will Jesus return, the signs are written on the pages of scripture, and in the moon. Tune in for the next post and see when it will be. If he competes and fulfill the Passover, he will also fulfill and complete the other feasts mention in the Torah.
Exodus 12:1-8 And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron in the
land of Egypt, saying, 2This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you. 3Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house: 4And if the household be too little for the lamb, let him and his neighbour next unto his house take it according to the number of the souls; every man according to his eating shall make your count for the lamb. 5Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats: 6And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening. 7And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it. 8And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it.
