Scripture has told us, that God is the same yesterday, today, and forevermore. And as a result of this fact, we are not to put aside the importance of obedience. We are to serve the Lord with our whole hearts, as disobedience will lead to punishment. We are saved by grace, but we are to do what is right, not walking in sin believing, God will not pass judgment.

To fall in sin is one thing, but to continue doing what is wrong, will not fall under the council of grace. That type of behavior will be judged, by an unchanging God. And because God never changes, we can trust in Him, and His good council.

Deuteronomy 29:20-21 The LORD will not spare him, but then the anger of the LORD and his jealousy shall smoke against that man, and all the curses that are written in this book shall lie upon him, and the LORD shall blot out his name from under heaven. And the LORD shall separate him unto evil out of all the tribes of Israel, according to all the curses of the covenant that are written in this book of the law:

  • Blot out – God will take away the benefits of the kingdom, bringing upon the transgressor the penalty of his crimes.
  • Separate – Is a highlight into the reality, that there is a place reserved for the condemned.
  • Tribes – Describe family groups, communities, and nations by descent
