As man began to multiply on the earth, working on behalf of the enemy, who had assumed rule over the kingdom on earth, mankind began to do those things which were unseemly before the Lord. Filled with murder, they do what pleases them, without regard for the LORD. Nations rose up, and as they do, they began to fight for dominance, working with the fallen angels; they seek out evil spirits forsaking the council of the Lord.
Beholding the ways on man, his unrepentant heart, God saw it fit to limit the life span of man. This was the second global judgment that was to appear on earth, on account of man’s behavior before the Lord. The first judgment came on account of Adam, his disobedience brought death to entire human race. But as mankind began to spread out across the earth, they seem to increase their evil activities. As a result of their harden hearts, God reduces the time of grace, the life span of man, to one hundred and twenty years, a period in which man must repent to be saved.
Genesis 6:1-3 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. And the LORD said, my spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.
The sons of the fallen angels were in the earth, giants, who would become gods among the people. For this God was angry, the enmity between God and the serpent was about to run its path, in this early generation of the earth. It was at this time God concluded to judge the generation of that era, Noah was called and it is from this record we have the evidence, of the change that took place on the earth.
Noah called to build the ark, according to God’s specifications, was found to be the only righteous man in his generation. Noah gathered the animals, once again according to God’s choice, which led to the lost of many species of animals on earth today, whose fragments are now being found across the world. Noah did what he was commanded to do; he accomplished the task under persecution, and explosion from the community of the world.
Despite all he had to endure, to reach his goal, Noah fulfilled his mission, saving those who obeyed the call, of the gospel of Jesus Christ. In the end, only eight souls were saved from the flood, Noah and his three sons, and their wives. Nevertheless, a new history would unfold, according to what would happen next.
